Meet The Team

Wendy Kleinschmidt has been the MCYC Program Coordinator for four and a half years. She lives in Mondovi with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, Alex. Wendy is excited to connect with all the families, lead engaging projects and field trips with the children, and, most importantly, witness new friendships flourish and grow.

Kailyn is 19 years old and a 2025 graduate of Durand-Arkansaw High School. She is currently studying Political Science at UW-Madison. Kailyn is excited to return to MCYC this summer and looks forward to a fun and engaging season with the kids.

Alina Mikesell, 22, joined MCYC in August 2025. She’s excited to meet all the new kids this summer and can’t wait to dive into fun activities, games, and adventures with everyone!

Kaylen Rud, 19, is a sophomore at UW–Eau Claire majoring in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science. She has been part of MCYC for six years and even attended the program when she was younger. Kaylen is excited to meet all the new kids this summer, help them come out of their shells, and make sure everyone has the best summer possible.

Colin Rud, 16, is a sophomore at Mondovi High School and has been working at MCYC for a year and a half. He is excited for the summer ahead, especially to see the kids he works with continue to grow and mature. Colin is also looking forward to field trips and pool days with everyone.

MacKenzy King is a recent graduate of Eleva-Strum High School and currently studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has a passion for engineering and STEM and enjoys staying active through sports. MacKenzy is excited to return to MCYC for another great summer.

Peyton Snyder is a 2024 graduate of Mondovi High School and a current sophomore at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he is pursuing a degree in Physical, Adapted, and School Health Education. In his free time, Peyton enjoys lifting weights, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends. He is especially excited for pool days with the MCYC kids and is looking forward to a fun-filled summer.
